I wanted to pop in and share this calendar class / kit that I created for the recent fall retreat held by ScrapMuch? .
There are still a few kits left, and they are super easy to assemble. All of the cutting has been done for you (even the base pages), you just need to adhere the elements. You can order one by emailing ScrapMuch? at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The calendars are for 2014, but you could easily print new calendars each year to change out the existing ones.
Sadly, this is my very last post with the Whimsie Doodles team, and I will miss being a part of this fab group and playing with these sweet images, but I feel I need to lighten my 'to do' list a little bit.
Happy Monday! It's my team's turn to create over at Let's Get Sketchy this week, and I am here to share my layout with you!
These photos are sooo retro, taken way back in the early, early 90's that wee little boy in my arms turned 22 earlier this month! I used some vibrant American Crafts papers as a nod to the bright jewel tones popular in the era.
And here is the fab sketch created by Let's Get Sketchy sketch artist Tabitha Triplett.
Now it's your turn, pop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy
blog to see what the rest of the 'Team B' DT created and link up your
take on the sketch for your chance at this month's prize!
I have another share today, this holiday card that I created for my love.
I am linking it up at The Paper Shelter, anything goes challenge, and at Fusion Card Challenge, where I used both the inspiration photo and sketch to create my card. (If you are interested they are having a DT call at Fusion Card Challenge. I am not applying but thought I would pass on the info.
Are you looking for a last minute handmade gift item? I wanted to give a gift to some sweet friends of mine, and I wanted it to be handmade. After doing some surfing of the www, this is what I came up with.....
The body scrub smells great, leaves your skin smooth and soft and it could even be edible if you were so inclined! ha!
To create this, blend 2 cups of sugar with 1/4 of light oil, like grape seed or almond oil. Add Peppermint Extract to desired scent. And mix well, you will need to keep adding oil a bit at a time until you achieve a smooth but still grainy consistency. You do not want to saturate the sugar. It is not hard and you will see what I mean as you blend. Then divide into two portions and colour half with red food colouring. Layer into a jar, as shown. This has a 2 month shelf life, but it probably will not be around that long!
I created this print and cut tag in my Silhouette software.
